It is an opportunity for everyone to nominate an individual or business working in or participating
in the food or farming industry and either creating, producing, cooking or marketing a food/drink
product of outstanding quality
There are four categories.
Best new food or drink venture, sponsored by Adnams
Best local food producer, sponsored by BOCM Pauls
Best use of regional produce on a menu, sponsored by PIC UK.
Best local drink producer, sponsored by Dewing Grain
Bidwells....... will continue to sponsor the award of the overall championship winner which will be
announced at the Aylsham Show on August Bank Holiday Monday when they will be presented with
the Ken Dye Memorial Salver.

or by completing an application which will shortly be available at
local food/drink outlets/restaurants across the county.
Last year our championship winner was Mrs Temple’s Cheeses of Wells; James Nelstrop of St.
George’s Distillery who produced a new whisky; Jules Jackson of de-lish of Wells-Next-To-Sea,
fine makers of salami, cured meats and treats; Matthew & Nicola Colchester of the Recruiting
Sergeant Horstead, who also run Reeds Restaurant in Tombland Norwich. They are kindly hosting
the launch of this years competition with their Three Chefs, Matthew Colchester, Andy Rudd and
Des Artiss.
The competition is open until the 30th April 2010
