I hope you are all having a lovely summer and the best news of all is that there is so much happening in Blickling that I don’t have to write anything about my own family!!
Before all of the events, however, I would like to say a huge thank-you to Mike and Henrietta Lindsell for their wonderful hospitality in hosting the village cricket match. The rain held off and a wonderful day was had by all. Thanks also go to all that helped out on the day.

This may seem unseasonal, but, looking ahead to Bonfire Night at Abel Heath, we need a few volunteers to make it happen. The Bonfire has been something of a tradition for the last 21 years, and after a blip last year, we would like to restart it. Its a great little event kindly hosted by Phil and Di Scott at Abel Heath Farm. Volunteers are required for: gate management, making cakes, selling cakes, mulled wine, and soup, baked spud preparation, chopping onions, running the BBQ, selling the hot food, and shopping for food. If you can help with one of these tasks, it would be great: many hands make light work! Please contact Jess a.s.a.p. on 01263 735013 to enlist.
