Looking back it was a pity it was so damp on 12 June for Gardens Day but there was
a goodly number of visitors about to appreciate the beautiful result of everyone’s hard
work – well done gardeners once more. On such a day the beauties a the tea-room were
much in demand. Itteringham Community Association is the beneficiary of their bounty.
Looking forward - to 23rd /24th July when Sandra and helpers will again be offering
cream teas on the front lawn of Glebe House – what a treat; delicious cake, and the four
star scones, tea served at your table in pretty cups. An hour of pleasure in what we think
of as the leisured days of granny’s youth. If you’ve just come back from your summer
holiday what better way to end it. Or to set the ball rolling for the holiday to come.
By now everybody will know that Marion Harrison has been appointed Priest-incharge
of our benefice and will be with us in the autumn. A woman priest will be a
new experience for many of us and we look forward with hope and great expectation.
At the date of publication the PCC will have appointed an assistant church warden
to back up Molly Fowell. Details on the notice board in the church porch.

Bridget Neville says “A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped in any way to
make the Open Gardens Day such a success. We made nearly £1500 and this amount
raised allows us to fully pay back the loan for the new deli and have a little left over!”

The Rt. Reverend Jonathan Meyrick as Bishop of Lynn
Our new Bishop attended a service of Evening Prayer on Trinity Sunday 19th
June.
He is a hymn writer and one of his hymns was sung. This is the first verse:
O God, from whom all love, does spring,
In whom our hopes reside,
Inhabit us, enlightening,
Shine through our offered lives.
He preached the sermon and the service was conducted by the Bishop of
Norwich.
